Lead Product Designer, Prototyping & Technology
Full-time, NYC (Hybrid)
YOU: An engineer-designer hybrid who turns ideas into working software fast. You live at the intersection of design and code, blending interaction design, front-end, and systems thinking, and you reach for AI-assisted tools to shorten the path from concept to production. You're happiest building: functional, code-based prototypes that are close to shippable, not demos. You figure things out on your own with documentation, AI, and good questions, and you get productive in an unfamiliar domain fast rather than waiting to be handed the answer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and prototype interactive, data-driven interfaces at the intersection of design and engineering
Rapidly prototype ideas using AI-assisted coding and generative design tools
Build functional, code-based prototypes close to production quality
Own the design-to-code pipeline, translating design into production-ready UI components
Improve the connection between design tools (Figma, Framer) and front-end frameworks (Web, SwiftUI)
Work with designers, engineers, and product to prototype, validate, and ship
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven ability to build with AI-assisted tools, to a near-production standard
Front-end coding: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end framework experience
Comfortable working with data, whether APIs, databases, or analytics
Self-directed, able to figure things out with documentation, AI, and good questions
Clear communicator across technical and non-technical teammates
Degree in Design, Interactive Multimedia, Computer Science, or related, or equivalent hands-on experience
Based in NYC or able to work Tues-Thurs on site
Based on the information that has been provided to You & Them by our Client, compensation for this position is in the $175Kâ$205K range depending on experience.
