Program Director

YOU: A detail-oriented, solutions-focused leader with expertise in managing creative projects, optimizing processes, and building strong relationships with clients, teams, and partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with agency leadership to develop staffing plans, ensuring the right mix of full-time and contract talent for each project.

  • Oversee project schedules, tracking milestones, progress, and budgets while ensuring clear communication with internal teams and clients.

  • Manage multiple parallel projects from strategic direction through implementation, ensuring efficiency and high-quality output.

  • Handle production contracts with external vendors and freelance talent, ensuring alignment with project needs and budgets.

  • Lead weekly resource planning meetings with department leads, the Founder, and the CFO to optimize staffing across the studio.

  • Identify roadblocks in project execution and implement creative solutions to maintain timelines and quality standards.

  • Improve and refine internal workflows, driving efficiency and enhancing the overall creative and production process.

  • Balance both client expectations and studio profitability, ensuring successful project delivery within budget.

  • Collaborate closely with strategists, designers, and technologists to ensure a seamless transition from strategy to implementation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing projects, studio operations, and budgets within a design studio, creative agency, or similar environment.

  • Strong background in overseeing multi-phase projects, including strategy, concept development, and production (e.g., web/app design, photo/video, motion, illustration, communications).

  • Ability to manage complex workflows and multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high creative standards.

  • Skilled in contract negotiation and vendor management for both production partners and freelance talent.

  • Proven ability to optimize project timelines, staffing, and budgets to maximize efficiency and profitability.

  • Experience leading and mentoring producers or project managers in strategy, innovation, and product design processes.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across creative, strategic, and financial teams.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and workflow optimization techniques to enhance team performance.

  • Based on the information that has been provided to You & Them by our Client, the base salary for this position is in the $160K-$180K range depending on experience.
