Industrial Design Contractor – Structural Packaging

YOU: A hands-on industrial designer with a strong foundation in structural packaging and a sharp eye for detail. You’re comfortable moving quickly without sacrificing precision, and you understand how to translate design intent into real, manufacturable outcomes. Dielines, CAD models, and prototypes are second nature to you and you take pride in getting the details right.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute structural packaging solutions across primary and secondary formats
Create and refine dielines with a strong understanding of materials and manufacturing constraints
Build 3D CAD models and renderings to communicate structure and design intent
Translate concepts into prototype-ready designs and technical specifications
Create rapid prototypes to test form, usability, and performance
Collaborate with industrial design, engineering, product, and manufacturing partners
Work with suppliers to validate feasibility and support production readiness
Maintain organized documentation and support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
REQUIREMENTS:
3–6 years of experience in structural packaging design, ideally within CPG/FMCG
Degree in Industrial Design, Packaging Design, or related field
Strong experience developing and iterating dielines for production
Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (Onshape preferred; SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
Experience with rendering tools (KeyShot) and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong prototyping and model-making skills across materials
Understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and production workflows
Detail-oriented with the ability to move quickly while maintaining quality
Clear communicator and strong collaborator across cross-functional teams
