No New Creative Blocks

Creative blocks happen, and when they do, it’s hard not to get caught up in the range of negative emotions that follows, or just give up altogether.

When we came across this project Crying on Paper by Samantha Ford, we were instantly inspired and wanted to share it with our friends who may have experienced/are experiencing a serious creative block. We love that she took lemons and made limoncello. This is an important topic for us, and we hope that you join us next week as we run a whole mini series on the topic of Long Haul Creativity, and the secrets to keeping your mojo. But for now, enjoy these killer postcards (no pun intended. seriously.).

Writing therapy – A form of expressive therapy that uses the act of writing and processing the written word as therapy. Writing therapy claims that writing one’s feelings gradually eases feelings of emotional trauma.” “The Kuber-Ross model – a series of emotional stages experienced by survivors of an intimate’s death, wherein the stages are denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.” The project “crying on paper” is a combinations of the two acts mentioned above. The feeling or act of loosing one’s creativity is like losing a loved one.
