Exercise 5: Most of what happens to you isn't personal

Those mornings when the train is late, you’re stuck in traffic, you spill coffee on yourself, you get a parking ticket–all of those things feel infuriating and very personal in the moment, but if you catch yourself feeling like it’s “me against the world,” that’s when we should take a moment to realize that train, those fellow passengers stuck in traffic and your coffee are most certainly not out to get you. It just is. Repeat Monday and Tuesday.
